Join liberal politicians from Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands in this platform for cross-border cooperation. We invite you to participate in lively debates and share your experiences.

In a world in which communities and economies are increasingly entwined, local and regional politics are more and more international. This event provides a platform for politicians and representatives from the Netherlands (D66, VVD), Germany (FDP) and Belgium (Open VLD) to disucss cross-border cooperation.

Participation

All politicians and chair(wo)men of D66, VVD, Open Vld and FDP interested in cross-border cooperation are invited to join the forum. Participation is free of charge with English as the main language. Lunch, coffee/tea and drinks are included in the program. Travel reimbursements can be made available.

Democraten 66 (D66)

Democraten 66 (D66) is een hervormingsgezinde sociaal-liberale partij. De huidige politiek leider is Rob Jetten i. De partij werd opgericht op 14 oktober 1966 door 44 'homines novi', waarvan er 25 eerder bij andere politieke partijen actief waren geweest. Belangrijkste initiatiefnemer en voorman (tot 1998) was de oud-journalist Hans van Mierlo i.

D66 haalde bij Tweede Kamerverkiezingen van 22 november 2023 i 9 zetels, 15 minder dan in 2021. De partij heeft vijf zetels in de Eerste Kamer. Er zit één Nederlands lid namens D66 in het Europees Parlement i.
