Press briefing on next week’s plenary session Friday, 1 October, at 11.00

Spokespersons for Parliament and for political groups will hold a briefing on the 4-7 October plenary session this Friday at 11.00, in Parliament’s Ana Politkovskaya press room.

Key topics MEPs will debate and vote on include:

  • Future of EU i-US relations
  • Tackling rising energy costs
  • Situation in Belarus
  • Hungarian and Polish recovery plans
  • Road Safety: zero deaths on EU roads by 2050
  • EU Cyber defence policy

Parliament’s spokesperson will also provide information on the third European Citizens’ Panel taking place in Strasbourg on 1-3 October, a central feature of the Conference on the Future of Europe. 200 citizens will gather to discuss climate change, environment and health.

Interpretation of the press briefing will be available in English, French and German.
