If 2017 brought optimism for the EU, 2018 has proved a year of tougher challenges and choices. It was a time of slower growth, a bumpy road towards Brexit, turbulence in Transatlantic ties, renewed tensions over migration, and limited progress in overhauling the euro- zone. These and other developments may set the backdrop to the European elections in 2019. Analysts from major international think tanks will take stock of 2018 and share their thinking on the potentially decisive 12 months ahead.
Speakers: Rosa Balfour, Senior Transatlantic Fellow, German Marshall Fund - Wojciech Białożyt, Managing Director, WiseEuropa - Maria Demertzis, Deputy director, Bruegel - Camino Mortera-Martinez, Senior Research Fellow, Centre for European Reform - Dušan Reljić, Head of Brussels Office, Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik
Moderation: Marcin Grajewski, Policy Analyst, EPRS
Location: Library Reading Room, 5th floor, Altiero Spinelli Building (ASP 05D)
