EU auditors publish a synthesis report on Jaspers regional support with state auditors of Croatia and Poland

​Today the European Court of Auditors1 (ECA) published a synthesis report on the Joint Assistance to Support Projects in European Regions (JASPERS) initiative. The report is a result of the coordinated audit conducted by the ECA in cooperation with the national audit offices of Croatia and Poland. It includes a summary of results of the auditors’ work and a common statement by the Heads of the State Audit Office of Croatia, the Supreme Audit Office of Poland and the Reporting Member of the European Court of Auditors.

The report comes a month after the ECA published its own special report on JASPERS.

    Dit orgaan controleert de wettigheid en regelmatigheid van alle inkomsten en uitgaven van de Europese Unie. In bredere zin moet zij de financiële belangen van de burger behartigen. De Europese Rekenkamer gaat na of de Europese middelen zo effectief, efficiënt en spaarzaam mogelijk worden ingezet. In die zin is deze instelling het financiële geweten van Europa dat erop toeziet dat de burgers 'waar voor hun geld krijgen'.
