Discussions at the 8th EU-Korea summit will focus on bilateral relations, regional cooperation and global challenges
Agenda highlights
The eighth bilateral summit between the European Union and the Republic of Korea will take place on 15 September in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
The EU will be represented by Donald Tusk, President of the European Council. Korea will be represented by President Park Geun-Hye. The European Commissioner for Trade Cecilia Malmström, representing the President of the European Commission, will also be present.
Leaders are expected to discuss:

-the positive state of EU-Korea bilateral relations

-regional issues and global challenges, such as climate change and counter-terrorism
A press conference will be held at around 16.10 (09.10 Brussels time), at which a joint statement will be issued. The leaders will then continue their discussions over dinner.
