The European Commission has established the Consumers, Health and Food Executive Agency (CHAFEA), replacing and succeeding the Health and Consumers Executive Agency from 1 January 2014 until 31 December 2024.

CHAFEA is entrusted with the implementations of parts of the following Union programmes and actions:

  • - 
    the Consumer Programme 2014-2020;
  • - 
    the Public Health Programme 2014-2020
  • - 
    the food safety training measures covered by Directive 2000/29/EC and Regulation (EC) No 882/2004
