European Commissioner for Transport Violeta Bulc is inviting transport stakeholders and governments' transport representatives to the High-Level Conference "Towards a more inclusive and diverse transport sector". The aim of the conference is to promote diversity and to raise awareness on its importance.
Participation of CEOs from various transport companies and agencies, workers' representatives, transport ministers and other high level politicians will ensure a fruitful brainstorming with the Commissioner on "Inclusive and gender balanced leadership for 21st century transport" – this first part of the Conference is by invitation only.
Commissioner Bulc will then launch a wide network of EU "diversity ambassadors" for the transport sector. We are looking for ambassadors with diverse profiles, from all genders, living all over Europe and representing all transport sectors.
The conference will take place in the congress & meeting centre The Egg (Bara Street 175, 1070 Brussels) on 26 September 2019 between 9:45 to 17:15.

Dit directoraat-generaal i ontwikkelt het EU-beleid inzake vervoer en mobiliteit. Daarnaast beheert het programma's voor financiële steun aan trans-Europese netwerken, technologische ontwikkeling en innovatie. Dit directoraat-generaal is in 2010 ontstaan toen het directoraat-generaal Energie en Vervoer i werd opgesplitst in een directoraat-generaal Energie i en een directoraat-generaal Vervoer.
Dit DG valt onder verantwoordelijkheid van de Eurocommissaris voor Vervoer i.
