The Sharing & Reuse Conference 2019 brings together policy makers, IT managers, open source software developers, specialists, consultants and advocates. The event organised by the ISA2 programme under the patronage of the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union is a unique chance to interact with key specialists from public services, private sector, and open source associations from across Europe and beyond. Our goal is to discuss different approaches to using open source in public administrations, the best way to support open source communities, and the impact of open source-led initiatives on the quality of public service delivery.

The conference will be open by Mariya Gabriel i, European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, as well as with the contributions from Cristian Cucu, Chief Information Officer of Romania and Mário Campolargo, Deputy Director-General of DG Informatics, European Commission. Stela Mocan, Lead of Technology & Innovation Lab in the Office of the Chief Information Officer, World Bank Group, will give the keynote speech.

Speakers from different walks of professional life will present fascinating collaborative open source projects and will touch upon the vital issues for the open source communities in three dynamic sessions corresponding to the conference theme: Open.Share.Link.

In the panel discussions that will follow each session, moderators, Sachiko Muto, CEO of OpenForum Europe and James Lovegrove, Public Policy Director at Red Hat, will challenge representatives of national and local governments, European Institutions, academia, and open source non-profit organisations. Audience will also have a chance to participate in this debate.

The event will be concluded with the exciting Sharing & Reuse Awards Ceremony hosted by Emanuele Baldacci, Director of Digital Services, DG Informatics, and the Chair of the Jury. The winners of the Awards will be announced in advance and all 16 shortlisted projects will have an opportunity to present their achievements.
