Statement by the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission

"The outcome of the work of ICAO on the implementation of the global market-based measure is

key for its effectiveness and for the future contribution of the aviation sector to the achievement of

the objectives under the Paris Agreement. It is important that ICAO member states, aircraft

operators and civil society continue to be engaged in this work of ICAO. It will be necessary in this

context for ICAO to act in full transparency and to reach out to all stakeholders to inform them

about progress and decisions in a timely manner."
