Simplification of administrative procedures as an engine for economic development

On 3 December the EU Ministers responsible for Public Administration meet in Rome at the Foreign Affairs Ministry headquarters. The cooperation among public officers from the member states led to the creation of EUPAN, a network of European Public Administrations whose main goal is to strengthen administrative capacities by sharing national best practices in the field of public management.
In line with the Europe 2020 Strategy, EUPAN aims at identifying priorities to modernize governments in the current context of financial crisis.

Van 1 juli tot en met 31 december 2014 vervulde Italië voor de twaalfde keer in haar geschiedenis het voorzitterschap i van de Raad van de Europese Unie i. Italië nam het stokje over van Griekenland i. Italië werkte nauw samen in een trojka i met Letland en Luxemburg.
Letland i heeft op 1 januari 2015 het stokje overgenomen.
