These are just a few of the traditional Bulgarian dishes that the employees and visitors of the European institutions in Brussels will have the chance to taste in the coming weeks. The dishes will be prepared by the chefs of the self-service restaurants of the EU institutions on the occasion of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU.

  • 24 May - Council Justius Lipsius and Lex buildings

All current and future fans of Bulgarian cuisine and their friends are more than welcome!

It is a tradition for the self-service restaurants of the European institutions to prepare dishes from the country holding the rotating Presidency of the Council of the EU. In this way, anyone working in or visiting Brussels has an opportunity to get to know this element of the culture of that country, which for the first half of 2018 is Bulgaria.

Another way of showcasing the culture of the rotating Presidency of the Council is the cultural exhibition in the premises of the Council. You can read more about Bulgaria’s exhibition, which is inspired by our alphabet, here.
